Who we are
Trump Account Benefits Calculator ("we," "us") operates the website at trumpaccountbenefits.com. This site is an independent informational tool and is not affiliated with the IRS, U.S. Department of the Treasury, or any listed employer, foundation, or grant program.
What we collect
We collect the minimum information needed to run the site and improve it:
- Calculator inputs (date of birth, ZIP code, state, employer selection, contribution amounts) — these are processed entirely in your browser. We do not transmit them to our servers or store them on a backend.
- Share-link URLs — when you click "Copy share link," your calculator inputs are encoded into the URL hash. Anyone you share that link with can see those inputs. The data still does not touch our servers.
- Email address — only if you voluntarily sign up for launch notifications. Stored by our email provider (Kit).
- Analytics data — anonymized page views, button clicks, and approximate location (country/region) via Google Analytics 4. IP addresses are anonymized.
- Server logs — Cloudflare (our hosting provider) records standard request logs (IP, user agent, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention.
What we do not collect
- Your child's name, Social Security Number, or any directly identifying information.
- Financial account details, bank information, or credentials.
- Health, genetic, biometric, or precise geolocation data.
How we use the information
- To deliver the calculator results in your browser.
- To send the one launch-notification email you signed up for (if applicable) and occasional updates about new grant programs.
- To measure aggregate usage and improve the tool.
- To detect abuse and keep the site available.
Third parties we share with
We do not sell your information. We use these service providers, each with their own privacy practices:
- Google (Analytics 4) — anonymized usage analytics.
- Kit — email list management, if you sign up.
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and DNS.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies to measure aggregate visits. No advertising cookies are set. You can block cookies in your browser settings without affecting the calculator's core functionality.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (California, EU/UK, and others), you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you.
- Unsubscribe from email at any time using the link in any message we send.
- Opt out of analytics by enabling "Do Not Track" or using a browser extension like Google Analytics Opt-out.
- Request that we not sell or share your information (we don't sell information).

Children's privacy
This site is intended for parents, guardians, and adults researching Trump Accounts on behalf of a child. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. The calculator's "date of birth" field refers to the child the user is researching — that data is not transmitted or stored.
Data retention
Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained for 14 months by Google. Server logs are retained by Cloudflare for up to 30 days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. The "Effective" date at the top will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage.
