Who we are
Trump Account Benefits Calculator ("we," "us") operates the website at trumpaccountbenefits.com. This site is an independent public resource and is not affiliated with the Trump Accounts program, the Invest America initiative, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the IRS, or any listed employer, foundation, or grant program.
What we collect
We collect the minimum information needed to run the site and improve it:
- Calculator inputs (date of birth, ZIP code, state, employer selection, contribution amounts) — these are processed entirely in your browser. We do not transmit them to our servers, share them with any third party, store them, or place them in the page URL.
- Email address — only if you voluntarily sign up for launch notifications. It is stored in our own database (Cloudflare D1) and shared with our email provider (Kit) to send those updates. When you submit the form we also store a salted, one-way hash of your IP address (never the raw address) to prevent abuse.
- Aggregate analytics — cookieless, privacy-first metrics via Cloudflare Web Analytics: page views, referrer, approximate country, and device type. This is not tied to your identity.
- Server logs — Cloudflare (our hosting provider) records standard request logs (IP, user agent, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention.
What we do not collect
- Your child's name, Social Security Number, or any directly identifying information.
- Financial account details, bank information, or credentials.
- Health, genetic, biometric, or precise geolocation data.
How we use the information
- To deliver the calculator results in your browser.
- To send the one launch-notification email you signed up for (if applicable) and occasional updates about new grant programs.
- To measure aggregate usage and improve the tool.
- To detect abuse and keep the site available.
Third parties we share with
We do not sell your information. We use these service providers, each with their own privacy practices:
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, DNS, cookieless analytics, database storage of your signup, and bot protection (Turnstile) on the signup form.
- Kit — email delivery, if you sign up. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
Cookies
We set no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our analytics is cookieless. Cloudflare Turnstile may set a temporary token solely to verify the signup form is not automated. Blocking cookies does not affect the calculator's core functionality.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (California, EU/UK, and others), you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you.
- Unsubscribe from email at any time using the link in any message we send.
- Our analytics is already anonymous and cookieless — there is nothing identifying to opt out of.
- Request that we not sell or share your information (we don't sell information).

Children's privacy
This site is intended for parents, guardians, and adults researching Trump Accounts on behalf of a child. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. The calculator's "date of birth" field refers to the child the user is researching — that data is not transmitted or stored.
Data retention
Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Aggregate analytics is not tied to your identity. Server logs are retained by Cloudflare for a short period for security purposes.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. The "Effective" date at the top will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage.
